Third Day – How I met them… New CD too!

I have been a fan of Third Day for many years. It all started almost 10 years ago when I was doing financial planning for Integrity Financial Management and I had an invite from Brad Avery to come and meet with him and his wife. I remember it very clearly. Brad had a nice place, was very easy to have conversations with and I just couldn’t get over the coolness of his hair and rockstar persona. I was asking him about what he does for a living and he was telling me about his band, a band called “Third Day”. I had never heard of them at the time. Speaking of “Time”, Brad asked me if I wanted to hear their new album about to be released. I said “it’s good” and proceeded to compare mac’s voice to “Travis Tritt” HA!. Yes, I did that. Well, Brad invited me to come see his show that week and a church near Alpharetta. I went and started to get the idea that these guys were a little bigger than I had thought initially. T-Shirts, Fans, and Radio was there promoting the event. The concert started, brad kicked a crazy solo at his introduction, lights bounced to audiance and back to brad like a chineese ping pong match and a love for a new group was born. I have been privalged to meet all the members except for Mark Lee who added me to his Twitter. I have worked with one of their main producers before with an artist I was promoting at the time, and have enjoyed the experience of listening to Third Day music, and checking out there shows.

I want to make sure I mention “REVELATION” rocks! It is an amazing album and full of “My current season of life”. “Give me revelation, show me what to do”. The melody and lyrics are so right on, right now, and so personal. Third Day has always delievered albums for the “right time”. It just happens that way, God certainly has blessed these talented guys and I look forward to more stuff to come. Thanks Third Day for keeping it real!
